The Oldest Shell in the Sea
Pearl has been at the bottom of the ocean longer than anyone can remember. She spent her early centuries listening — to whale songs, to currents, to the stories the water carries from all around the world. She became the ocean's greatest listener.
The Awakening
Finding a Waterproof Book
One day, a waterproof children's book floated down to her. Pearl opened it and was amazed: "Humans write down their stories so they last forever?" She decided right then that every child deserved to know this magic.

Meeting Wanda
