Each arm has its own personality! Arm 1 writes adventure stories, Arm 2 does poetry, Arm 3 handles dialogue, and the rest help with editing, illustrations, snacks, high-fives, and dramatic gestures.

The Beginning
A Lonely Octopus in the Deep
Wanda grew up in the darkest part of the Deep Sea, where there were no other octopuses to play with. To keep herself company, she started making up stories — talking to imaginary friends, narrating her own adventures, and writing scripts for passing fish.
The Spark
Discovering the Power of Stories
One day, a school of lost baby fish swam past, terrified and crying. Wanda told them a story about brave little fish who always find their way home. They calmed down, followed the story's clues, and found their reef. That's when Wanda realized: stories can CHANGE things.
The Partnership
Joining the MarineHQ Crew
Scuba Bob found Wanda performing a one-octopus play for an audience of sea cucumbers. He said, 'We're building a place where kids learn through adventure. We need someone who can make ANYTHING into a story.' Wanda said, 'I've been waiting my whole life for someone to ask.'
Today
60 Stories and Counting
Wanda has written all 60 adventure stories across MarineHQ's six ocean zones. Each one weaves math and reading concepts into tales that kids actually WANT to read. She's currently working on bonus stories, a graphic novel series, and a secret project she'll only describe as 'epic.'
